HP Family Open House

HP recently sold their campus in Vancouver & moved into a smaller space inside the Nautilus Building. I've been very curious to see what their new space looked like; so it was really nice that HP sponsored an open house just for families of their Vancouver employees.

This is Vyomesh Joshi (aka VJ). He is the Senior VP of the InkJet Division.
VJ was the special guest last night.
Fun Fact: While we were on our guided tour, our group ran into VJ while he was saying hello to the Vancouver administrators. We had about 15 people in our tour group. VJ stopped, shook each one of our hands & had a kind word to say to each & everyone of us. I was so impressed!

HP offered guided tours all around the campus. So much going on inside! It was really exciting to see the inner-workings of the company.
One of our stops on the tour was the Halo Room.
This is a conference room that lets employees have virtual meetings with other HP campuses
anywhere in the world, or in this case, just the other room.
Hi Fari & Mansour!

The event was catered with bbq'd brisket, pulled pork, chicken, coleslaw, mac 'n' cheese & cornbread.
Good eats!
My favorite stop on the tour was the machine lab. Here we were able to see different items being made. On this stop, an injection mold machine was making these little things every 23 seconds.
What do you think it is?

Cute! A cell phone or iPod holder!

Look who we ran into again! I pulled out my camera & we asked if we could get a photo.
Once again, VJ was very gracious & obliged me a photo!

All in all, I had a GREAT time at the HP Family Open House.
I loved it back in the 90's when HP had several events like this for familes.
Last night seemed like old times.
 GO HP!
