In the 4 years we have had Remy, he has never stolen any food off of the kitchen countertops. What he has taken are napkins, money (at least $20 worth), socks, wallets, pens, pencils, homework (really!), directions and other non-food items. Yesterday was the first time he has ever stolen food. What could have got into him? Was it the new schedule change? Who knows. Who me? Couldn't be. Then who?

This is what we do know. Naseem had half a cinnamon roll at around 6:00 a.m. yesterday morning. She placed the other half on a plate in the middle of the kitchen counter. Omid saw the cinnamon roll at around 7:30 a.m. He came home later at 11:45 a.m. and the same plate was empty. He thought I came home and ate the roll. We talked on the phone and Omid asked me if I came home for lunch. I told him no. Then he told me that he came home and the cinnamon roll was gone. The only logical explanation was that Remy ate the roll. The weird thing is: Remy didn't break the plate or move it off the counter. Either he is a graceful thief or we have some other animal living in the house who ate it.

Looking at that face I'd say the dog is innocent. Interrogate the husband!

He's been questioned and denies any involvement. Hmmmmm.....

Let me know if you need a polygraph - I have connections. Remy's good name must be cleared.

Is the plate licked clean? That might be a tell tale sign.
