Last night, Omid & I watched the movie East is East. It is by far one of the funniest movies I've seen. East is East is about a Pakistani man married to an English woman. It's set in 1971 in a poor part of England. The husband wants all the kids to be raised strict Muslim, while the kids aren't having any of it. The father disastrously tries to arrange marriages for the boys. It's a great movie and I recommend it for some laughs. Netflix doesn't carry it, so we had to rent it from Hollywood Video.

We seem to be watching all the movies that profile two cultures in one family (Bendit like Beckham, The Namesake). All these movies are either about Indian or Pakistani families; I haven't found a movie along the same lines that feature either Japanese, Chinese, or even Iranian families. If you know of any, send the names our way.

I think you should do a video blog of your daily life with Omid and the kids. That would be a cross-cultural movie and focused on Iranian-American way of life. Seriously, you should do this....
By the way, I updated my blog...Sorry it took forever.
