We had a busy day running around all over the place. After school I dropped Nas off, ran to a UPS warehouse out in Hazel Dell (thank God my car has gps...I never would have found it on my own). Picked up Matty from basketball practice at 4:45 p.m, came home. The 3 of us had a quick dinner, then off to Fred Meyer to buy cookies for the Alice Kern reception, then to Sky to attend Matty's frog nite at 5:30. Enjoy the pics below of Frog Nite.
Explaining the disection.

Dead & disected. Poor Frog.

After SKY, we ran to the HS and set out the cookies. We then staked out some good seats to listen to Alice Kern. The evening started out with a video of her story. Alice is now 84 years old and somewhat frail. After the video, Alice walked out to the front to a standing ovation. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. It was very touching. Her story is one of fear, brutality, humiliation, bravery & hope. Just an amazing evening.

Good for you for going - and taking your kids. I think every kid should hear about the Holocaust (age appropriate, of course.
I read "Night" by Elie Weasel and cried and cried. We have to do what we can to ensure this never happens again. (Although I believe there are situations going on today that we're doing nothing about - which makes me sick!)
